My Story
I’ve spent more than 50 years working in the timber industry, building my experience around the sourcing and supply of quality round timber to sawmills and timber businesses across the UK.
Over the years, I’ve developed strong relationships with trusted suppliers throughout France and continental Europe, with a particular focus on sourcing quality European Oak.
For much of my career, I carried out this work through Chantler Timber, sourcing timber to suit individual customer requirements and building long-standing relationships across the industry. Today, through Chris Hyde Timber, I continue to offer that same personal service, experience and knowledge directly to my customers.
I still take a hands-on approach to sourcing timber, using decades of experience to assess quality, specification and suitability before purchase. Every customer and every requirement is different, and I believe in taking the time to source the right timber for the job rather than simply supplying what is available.
